Diacylglycerol O-acyltransferase 2 (DGAT2): a novel therapeutic target for Alzheimer’s disease through modulation of microglial lipid synthesis
Abstract
Recently, a study published in the Immunity has elucidated the mechanism by which amyloid-β (Aβ) induces lipid droplet accumulation in microglia in Alzheimer's disease[1]. The study identified diacylglycerol O-acyltransferase 2 (DGAT2) as a key enzyme playing a critical role in this process.
