Abstract

We propose the Tissue Stress Remodelling Theory, a novel framework for musculoskeletal rehabilitation. It integrates tissue viscoelasticity, Wolff’s Law, Ilizarov’s Theory, Hueter-Volkmann Law and histopathology-unifying previously fragmented biomechanical and pathological principles into a systematic theoretical system. Its core insight is that human tissues undergo adaptive remodeling of morphology, structure, and function under continuous, patterned mechanical force. Building on this foundation, we developed the “Four-Step Sequential Therapy” (relieving symptoms, adjusting structure, stabilizing structure, function remodelling). This protocol provides a targeted and feasible intervention pathway for Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS). By integrating dispersed biomechanical principles with a structured conservative intervention, this work provides novel theoretical and practical support for AIS rehabilitation.
