Abstract

The influence of external electric fields on the electronic properties of a hydrogenic impurity in C d S e nanoplatelets has been studied using a theoretical framework based on the effective mass and adiabatic approximations. Both axial and planar electric fields were considered to examine their impact on diamagnetic susceptibility and electron probability density distributions. A pronounced field-induced redistribution of the electron wavefunction was observed, resulting in a tunable diamagnetic response and anisotropic electronic behavior. Polarization effects at the nanoplatelet–surrounding medium interface were investigated within the framework of the Takagahara model.
