Transient aerosol concentration inversion method based on a novel weighted spatiotemporal kriging model
Abstract
Nuclear facility explosion accidents can instantly release large amounts of radioactive aerosols, the dispersion of which adversely affects environmental safety and health risks. This study established a novel concentration calculation and inversion model called the weighted spatiotemporal Kriging (WSTK) model to characterize the spatiotemporal distribution of radioactive aerosols under transient conditions more accurately. The proposed WSTK model significantly improves the transient concentration inversion accuracy, reducing the relative errors to as low as 1.14%. The mean relative error is -0.048%, demonstrating the effective suppression of systematic bias. These results confirm the capability of the WSTK model to accurately reconstruct radioactive aerosol concentration fields under transient conditions. This study provides a method for high-accuracy spatiotemporal inversion of radioactive aerosol concentrations under transient conditions and offers valuable technical support for safety assessments and the development of nuclear facilities.
