The LS3 Enhancement of the RICH detectors
Abstract
The LHCb RICH readout electronic chain will undergo an upgrade during the LS3 Enhancements program to achieve fast timing for detected Cherenkov photons. The main component of the new readout architecture is a novel front-end application specific integrated circuit (ASIC), namely FastRICH, that was designed according to the LHCb RICH specifications. This work reports on the current status of the FastRICH ASIC validation and its integration within a prototype readout chain.
