Abstract

Advanced and effective wastewater treatment technologies have become increasingly important in recent years due to growing global concern about water pollution. This review aims to explore the potential of graphite-based nanocomposites as a novel platform for advancing wastewater treatment, drawing on recent research from around the world. Graphite-based nanocomposites leverage the unique properties of graphite to enhance adsorption, catalysis, and separation processes, thereby enabling the removal/degradation of various pollutants from wastewater. The synthesis, characterization, and performance evaluations of these nanocomposites against various pollutants are elaborately discussed. The key findings reveal their superior performance in addressing water pollution problems. Their application in real scenarios has promising prospects in developing sustainable and environmentally friendly wastewater treatment technologies.
