Abstract

To address the issue of optical crosstalk with the increase of LED array scale in multiple-input multiple-output visible light communication systems, we propose a face-to-point detection transmission method based on single-pixel imaging framework. The proposed method first encodes the transmission information into single-pixel detection values and compresses the encoding according to the scale of the LED array. It then drives the LED array to display specific patterns. The receiving end captures the light intensity information through a single-pixel detector and combines it with the encoding pattern to restore the transmission information. Simulation and experimental results validated the effectiveness of this method, enabling reliable transmission at a distance of 400 cm and a reception angle of 170°. This scheme provides a new approach for constructing low-cost and highly flexible visible-light array information transmission systems.
