In-situ Spindle Diagnostic with Automated Fault Defects Integration
Abstract
The importance of the spindle is well known but the complexity of vibration, transmissibility, the multitude of vibration sources and their coupling, make the diagnostic process limited or even produce large errors. In the practical engineering, the fault detection of the spindle, even more of the spindle motor is mainly carried out by workshop technical experts based on vibration analysis. In the case of in-situ monitoring and diagnosis of spindle is more difficult than the experimental laboratory setup. The signals from in-situ conditions contain more noise and vibration interferences, the measurement environment is complex and taking into account local several factors is inevitable. This paper presents a method of fault diagnostics in condition of in-situ using a measurement protocol based on stationary accelerometers, speed sensor and an acquisition data. The aim of the paper is centred on the fault diagnosis model applied to spindles that can integrate the types of faults both at low frequencies and at high frequencies; defect type, source of vibration and propose different types of solutions.
