Abstract

The synthesis of substituted chromeno[2,3- c ]pyrazolones 4 through a one-pot three-component condensation reaction between dimedone 1 , arylglyoxals 2 , and 3-methyl-5-pyrazolone 3 in DMF under reflux conditions without using any catalyst is reported. All the products were obtained in excellent yields and their structures were established from their spectroscopic data.
