Numerical simulation of the aerodynamic characteristics floating offshore wind turbine under inflow turbulence
Abstract
Offshore wind turbines are subjected to complex marine environmental loads, which easily lead to power fluctuations and structural fatigue issues.Wake research helps reveal the evolution law of flow fields, optimize the layout of wind turbine units to reduce wake interference, and improve the overall power generation efficiency of wind farms.Taking the DTU10MW wind turbine as the research object, this study explores the characteristics of the wind turbine airfoils under turbulent flow conditions to provide support for airfoil selection and improve the performance of the unit. The results show that the pressure difference between the upper and lower surfaces of the airfoil increases from 200Pa to 1004.2Pa,an increase in the angle of attack tends to generate vortices, leading to decrease in the lift coefficient. The pressure difference enables the blades of offshore wind turbines to obtain sufficient lift, providing core power for the rotation of the impeller, thereby ensuring that the unit can still maintain stable energy capture efficiency in a turbulent environment and reducing power fluctuations caused by insufficient power.
