Abstract
Commentary on "Predictors of post-operative complications following thyroid surgery at a tertiary hospital in Tanzania": Clarifying mechanisms and clinical implicationsDear Editor I applaud Lazaro et al. for their thorough retrospective cohort study investigating postoperative complications after thyroidectomy in a sub-Saharan African setting [1] .This important contribution fills a significant void in surgical outcomes data from low-and middle-income countries (LMICs), where thyroid disease represents a considerable health burden but is often overlooked in global literature [1] .Here, I share our insights on the strengths, limitations, and implications of this research.
