Abstract

Psychological tests and measures are integral in the work of psychologists. Before any standardized test is used with a given client or population, sound psychometric properties are required. As such, studies on these psychometric properties of various tools inform both researchers and practitioners about their utility. To date, no studies have been conducted to review psychological measures used or developed in the Philippines or with Filipinos to aid in providing a resource for practitioners and give direction for future research priorities in the area of psychological measurement. This scoping review focused on published researches investigating the development of and/or the psychometric properties of psychological tests and measures in the Philippines. A total of 102 articles published between 2000 and 2022 were gathered from the search using terms related to psychological tests. The studies were then coded and analyzed. Results showed that 48% of the researches reviewed were on measures of Attitudes and Well-Being and Adult Clinical tests. In addition, 79% of these studies centered on the analysis of the psychometric properties of the instruments and validating these among Filipino adults. Results were summarized in order to inform possible directions for future research priorities in this area.
