Medical laboratory training in the United States
Abstract
How can blood banks train laboratory professionals and strengthen their expertise in transfusion medicine? Right now in the United States, there is a shortage of medical laboratory professionals, particularly in blood banks. To address this problem, one must understand how laboratory staff are trained, and the barriers to that training, especially in transfusion medicine.
