Perception of Intelligent Technologies by Road Users
Abstract
The Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) significantly enhances traffic safety. While debates persist on whether technological progress or driver behavior plays a more significant role, user acceptance is crucial for both approaches. This study explores drivers’ attitudes towards ITS technologies and their implications for traffic safety. Statistical analyses of respondent demographics and opinions reveal social influences, especially recommendations from close acquaintances, as key factors in ITS adoption.
