Abstract

This study explores the mechanical behaviour of composite ropes, specifically Dyneema (UHMWPE), under the influence of various knot configurations and modifications. The focus is on understanding how knot design and applied changes impact the rope’s tensile strength and elongation. A series of tests were conducted using different knot types and material modifications to evaluate their performance under tensile stress. The findings aim to provide insights into optimizing composite rope configurations for high-demand applications in the transportation and industrial sectors.
