Full root replacement for the Ross procedure
Abstract
A 49-year-old female patient with unicuspid aortic valve stenosis with ascending aortic aneurysm presented for aortic valve replacement (Figure 1, A). She had no history of connective tissue disorder or coronary artery disease. Her aortic and pulmonary annuli measured 25 mm and 23 mm, respectively (Figure 1, B and C). The patient was normotensive and deemed an excellent candidate for the Ross procedure, given her age and predicted life expectancy. Video 1 demonstrates our systematic approach to autograft (AG) assessment, marking, and implantation.
