Abstract

Cardiac sarcoidosis (CS) is characterized by patchy granulomatous myocardial inflammation, which can lead to conduction abnormalities, arrhythmias, heart failure, and sudden cardiac death. The gold standard for diagnosis is histological confirmation of noncaseating granulomas on endomyocardial biopsy (EMB), which has limited sensitivity (20-30% yield) due to focal myocardial involvement, resulting in frequent false negatives [1]. Diagnosis often relies on multimodal approaches integrating clinical and imaging criteria.
