Abstract

We thank the author for interest in our study. To put things in perspective, our work represents a modest but important step toward precision medicine in pulmonary hypertension resulting from heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (PH-HFpEF). With a focus on protocol development, these preliminary hypothesis-generating findings are aimed at refining heterogeneity in PH-HFpEF by modulating left-heart afterload and preload, and characterizing patient-specific pulmonary vascular (pulmonary artery compliance) and respiratory (oxygen uptake efficiency slope) responses.
