ZIF Derived CoMoS 3 Hollow Polyhedrons Assembled with MXene Nanosheets for Enhanced Hydrogen Evolution Reaction
Abstract
As a renewable clean energy source, hydrogen has attracted much attention in recent years. However, developing a low-cost and efficient water splitting catalyst is still a challenge. Herein, we prepared CoMoS 4 hollow polyhedrons by etching the ZIF-67 templates, assembled it with Mxene, and annealed the composite to obtain the CoMoS 3 /MXene that maintains the unique hollow structure. In this design, CoMoS 3 hollow polyhedrons prevent the stacking of MXene, which enhances the electronic conduction of the material, effectively improving the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) performance. Our CoMoS 3 /MXene catalyst exhibits low overpotentials at 10 mA cm –2 in both 0.5 M H 2 SO 4 (137 mV) and 1.0 M KOH (176 mV) with good stability.
