Light-Mediated g-C 3 N 4 -Catalyzed Anti-Markovnikov Hydroarylation of Enamides: Direct Access to β-Arylethylamine with Nematicidal Activity
Abstract
Hydroarylation is an efficient strategy for the conversion of unsaturated precursors into functional structural motifs. Herein, with reusable g-C 3 N 4 as the photocatalyst, we disclose a photocatalytic anti - Markovnikov hydroarylation to synthesize β-arylethylamines. The combination of g-C 3 N 4 and thiol facilitates diverse aryl radical addition reactions from aryl(hetero) halide substrates. Scalability and recyclability studies demonstrate the robust efficiency and stability of g-C 3 N 4, underscoring its industrial potential. Notably, selected derivatives exhibit potent nematicidal activity, representing a promising class of agrochemical candidates.
