Photoredox-Catalyzed Defluorinative Carbamoylation of α-Trifluoromethylalkenes
Abstract
β-Fluoroalkylamides constitute privileged molecular frameworks, prominently featured in biologically active compounds, natural products, and pharmaceuticals. Herein, a defluorinative carbamoylation strategy is established for the first time via photocatalytic reductive radical-polar crossover, offering an efficient and versatile route to structurally diverse γ,γ-difluoroallylic amides. This protocol operates under mild, redox-neutral conditions and exhibits broad substrate scope alongside excellent scalability. Furthermore, the gem-difluoroalkene moiety proves amenable to further derivatization, thereby expanding accessible molecular architectures and underscoring the method's utility for the modular assembly of functionally relevant β-fluoroalkylamide frameworks.
