Abstract

A ruthenium complex [RuCl( p -cymene)(bpy@CTF)]Cl was designed and synthesized by the immobilization of [RuCl 2 ( p -cymeme)] 2 on a covalent triazine framework (CTF). In the presence of catalyst (1 mol % Ru), a series of β-carbolines were synthesized in high yields with complete chemoselectivity via acceptorless dehydrogenation of tetrahydro-β-carbolines. More importantly, the synthesized catalyst could be recycled without obvious loss of catalytic activity over six cycles.
