Aminotetrazole-Based Nitrogen-Rich Energetic Materials: From Primary to Secondary Explosives and Gas Generators
Abstract
Aminotetrazole-based energetic compounds were synthesized and fully characterized, with crystal structures confirmed for compounds 4 and 6 . They show good thermal stability (up to 286 °C), high densities (1.68–1.73 g cm –3 ), and strong detonation performance. Compounds 4 and 5 are insensitive, high-nitrogen secondary explosives, while compound 6 combines competitive performance with high sensitivity, making it a promising metal-free CHNO primary explosive candidate and gas generator.
