Multicolor Circularly Polarized Long Afterglow in Perovskite-Based Materials: Co-Driven by Chiral Selective Absorption and Circularly Polarized Phosphorescence Energy Transfer
Abstract
Circularly polarized long afterglow (CPLA) materials have achieved substantial progress especially in anticounterfeiting area. However, achieving multicolor CPLA emissions based on an all-inorganic cesium lead halide perovskite (PSK) remains challenging. Herein, we realized multicolor CPLA emission based on PSK-based materials for the first time. The materials integrate chiral helical polyacetylene (PSA) and PSK/SMS)@SiO 2, where the latter is the hydrolyzed product of PSK and inorganic phosphor Sr 2 MgSi 2 O 7: Eu 2+, Dy 3+ (SMS) encapsulated by SiO 2 . After PSK surface modification, we combined PSK and SMS into composite particles via siloxane hydrolysis instead of simple blending. This further creates a more favorable spatial environment for energy transfer between them, promoting multicolor long afterglow (LA) emission. Subsequently, we achieved both blue CPLA emission from SMS via PSA’s selective absorption and multicolor CPLA emission through circularly polarized phosphorescence energy transfer (CPP-ET, including resonance energy transfer and radiative energy transfer) between SMS and PSK. The asymmetry factor can be up to 2.7 × 10 –2 . The strategy eliminates both the complex chiral transfer process and the intricate synthesis of multicolor CPLA-emitting PSK. Also noticeably, multidimension information encryption and chiral logic gate are developed based on the multicolor tunable CPLA-active materials. This work provides a new strategy for constructing LA PSK materials and offers additional insights into the preparation of PSK materials with CPLA properties.
