Abstract

Infrared detection technology has been widely applied in military conflicts worldwide. On the battlefield, multifunctional equipment with infrared stealth capability can greatly improve soldiers’ survival efficiency. However, preparing a flexible, wearable, and multifunctional stealth fabric for infrared spectroscopy remains challenging. In this work, a low infrared emissivity multifunctional fabric CPM-15 is prepared by decorating cotton fabric with Ti 3 C 2 T x and coating it with polydopamine. The obtained fabrics exhibit excellent characteristics of low infrared emissivity and high electrothermal and photothermal conversion performance. The infrared emissivity of CPM-15 is only 0.31 at 8–14 μm, and its thermal radiation temperature reaches 45.1 °C at 1 V for 150 s. Additionally, the surface temperature of CPM-15 fabric increases to 51.5 °C under a light intensity of 100 mW cm –2 . Furthermore, the total EMI shielding effectiveness of the CPM-15 fabric is 61.6 dB at 8.2–12.4 GHz. Notable, CPM-15 not only maintains the breathability and washability of the cotton fabric but also exhibits excellent antibacterial properties, making it suitable for wear. Therefore, this work provides an effective strategy for preparing next-generation multifunctional infrared stealth equipment.
