Abstract

As a high-performance organic conductive polymer, poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) has established itself as a crucial material in optoelectronic and flexible electronic applications. While conventional indium tin oxide (ITO) electrodes exhibit limitations of low transmittance and substantial insertion losses in the terahertz (THz) regime, PEDOT:PSS thin films demonstrate near-transparency at THz frequencies, revealing exceptional potential for THz device implementation. In this work, multifield-controlled metagrating enabled by perovskite for terahertz polarization modulation was investigated. This study investigates the influence of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) doping concentrations on the electrical conductivity of PEDOT:PSS films. By employing ultraviolet lithography and spin-coating techniques, we successfully achieved the patterned fabrication of PEDOT:PSS metagratings, which demonstrate pronounced polarization-selective effects on THz waves. Furthermore, the integration of CsPbBr 3 microcrystals with the PEDOT:PSS metagratings enables targeted modulation of THz waves with specific polarization orientations under combined optical and electric field regulation. These findings not only validate the feasibility of PEDOT:PSS for THz wave modulation devices but also pave a pathway toward achieving multifield (optical/electrical)-controlled manipulation of THz waves.
