Direct Construction of Microporous Thiophene-Based Covalent Triazine Frameworks for Efficient Phenol Removal from Water
Abstract
The direct construction of microporous thiophene-based covalent triazine frameworks (CTFs-DMTDC) was achieved via a one-pot polymerization catalyzed by trifluoromethanesulfonic acid. Comprehensive characterization (FT-IR, 13 C CP-MAS NMR, XPS, elemental analysis) confirms the successful formation of triazine rings, incorporation of thiophene, and a hierarchical porous structure ( S BET = 354 m 2 ·g –1, average pore size = 1.73 nm). The CTFs-DMTDC exhibited exceptional phenol adsorption performance, with a maximum capacity ( Q max ) of 185.6 mg·g –1, rapid equilibration (30 min), and retention of 85.2% efficiency after five regeneration cycles. These findings highlight CTFs-DMTDC as high-performance, sustainable materials for efficient phenolic pollutant removal from wastewater, combining facile synthesis with superior adsorption capacity and reusability.
