Comment on “Polyethylene and Polyvinyl Chloride Nanoplastics in Human Follicular Fluid and Seminal Plasma: Impact on Fertilization and Sperm Quality”
Abstract
Recommendations W e read with interest the recent study by Kong et al. 1 which explores the presence of polyethylene (PE) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) nanoplastics in human follicular fluid and seminal plasma and their association with reproductive outcomes in IVF patients. The topic is timely, and the authors are to be commended for addressing the underexplored presence of synthetic polymers in the human reproductive tract. However, we wish to raise several methodological and interpretive concerns that, in our view, warrant careful reconsideration.
