Abstract
From aircraft to neural networks, engineers are often inspired by biological systems; however, literature often conflates inspiration with scientific evidence. Here, I propose a transparent and consistent reporting framework for bio-inspired design that can accelerate technological progress and stimulate collaborative scientific pursuits.
