Iridium-catalyzed P( iii )-directed ortho -C–H silylation of arylphosphines with hydrosilanes
Abstract
-C-H silylation of commercial monophosphine ligands with readily available trialkylsilanes of varying steric and electronic properties was achieved. This ligand-free strategy exhibits mild conditions, broad substrate scope and excellent regioselectivity. The resulting silylated ligands demonstrate superior efficacy in asymmetric catalysis.
