Combined operando UV/vis and NMR spectroscopy gives mechanistic insight into the reaction of guaiazulene with 2,4-dinitrobenzaldehyde
Abstract
In this proof-of-principle study, we apply combined NMR and UV/vis spectroscopy to operando reaction monitoring of a ‘classical’ organic reaction. Identical intensity- vs .-time courses are obtained for an intermediate visible in both NMR and UV/vis.
