Abstract

Phase transformation of Sr 3 (PO 4 ) 2 :Eu to Sr 5 (PO 4 ) 3 Cl:Eu in molten SrCl 2 is accompanied by the self-reduction of Eu 3+ to Eu 2+ . Luminescent properties and the influence of synthesis conditions were studied.
