Possibilities and limitations of AFM-IR to detect nanoplastic particles in the atmosphere
Abstract
Atomic force microscopy infrared spectroscopy provides sufficient spatial resolution and chemical specificity to identify nanoplastics. Application of the technique to environmental samples is restricted by high (particle-based) detection limits.
