Impact of linking groups in chelating bis-carbene iridium catalysts for transfer hydrogenation of inorganic carbonates with glycerol
Abstract
An Ir( i ) bis-carbonyl catalyst bearing a bis-N-heterocyclic carbene ligand with a cationic bridging group is more active and selective in transfer hydrogenation of inorganic carbonates with glycerol than analogue complexes featuring neutral ligands.
