A green strategy for co-production of xylooligosaccharides and fermentable sugars from birch via tween-assisted tartaric acid pretreatment
Abstract
A clean Tween-assisted tartaric acid pretreatment enables co-production of xylooligosaccharides and fermentable sugars from birch. In situ lignin modification by Tween and its molecular role in suppressing enzyme–lignin interactions are elucidated.
