Abstract

A pentamethine cyanine–indomethacin V conjugate was designed and synthesized, which self-assembled into nanoparticles, homed into the mitochondria of HCT-116 cells, and induced apoptosis under NIR light irradiation to show chemo-photodynamic therapy.
