Abstract

This study explores sulfamethazine (SMZ) degradation by the VUV/Cu( ii )/PMS system: VUV outperforms UVC in SMZ removal via better photolysis. ˙OH and SO 4 ˙ − drive degradation, and VUV speeds up the Cu( i )/Cu( ii ) cycle efficiently.
