Truss bridge-like anhydrous stacking in hybrid crystals triggers ultra-high stability and robust birefringence
Abstract
The synergy of strong ionic bonds and π–π stacking in alkali metal cations and terephthalate ions constructs a truss bridge-like framework to gain giant birefringence and ultra-high thermal stability in a series of semi-organic birefringent crystals.
