Abstract

Multiscale simulations uncover how oxide surface govern Zn 2+ desolvation and diffusion in aqueous zinc-ion batteries. While SiO 2 promotes ultrahigh desolvation, TiO 2 , Al 2 O 3 , and CoO balance desolvation efficiency with low diffusion barriers.
