V-shaped D–π–A–π–D molecules based on benzothiophene- S , S -dioxide: tuning of excited states via donor strength to engineer photoactive materials
Abstract
Effective decoupling between donors and the acceptor in V-shaped D–π–A–π–D molecules enables the excited-state landscape to be governed almost entirely by the intrinsic donor strength, which dictates fluorescence, TADF, and singlet-oxygen generation.
