Abstract

Mn( iii )-citrate/tartrate complexes oxidize UO 2 and TcO 2 to soluble UO 2 2+ and TcO 4 − . Electron exchange reduces Mn( iii ) to Mn( ii ), producing oxidized ligands and mobilized radionuclides.
