Boosting alkaline nitrate reduction to ammonia via molybdenum-mediated hydrogenation on CuO nanoarrays
Abstract
a facile yet highly effective water-bath oxidation and hydrothermal doping strategy. The incorporation of Mo modulates the electronic structure of Cu and introduces robust water activation and H* adsorption sites, significantly accelerating the rate-determining hydrogenation steps for nitrate reduction.
