Multivariate analysis coupled to infrared spectroscopy unravels the diversity of adsorption sites and strengths of a zeolite surface
Abstract
An IR-chemometric approach extracts site-specific adsorption thermodynamics from IR isotherms, overcoming macroscopic and spectral limitations. Validated by microcalorimetry and DFT, it reveals three adsorption modes in isobutanol/ZSM-5.
