Abstract

The redox reaction of K 3 Sb and Ru 3 (CO) 12 in an ethylenediamine solution of 2,2,2-cryptand yielded a deeply reduced Ru–Sb organometallic nanocluster [Ru 6 (μ 6 -Sb)(CO) 18 ] 3− composed of the unusual boat-like Ru 6 cluster unit and unprecedented μ 6 -Sb.
