Abstract

-phenylenediamine and related nucleophiles were employed, the reaction yielded benzimidazole and benzothiazole derivatives, demonstrating the system's dual catalytic behaviour. Finally, catalyst recovery and reuse were investigated over ten consecutive cycles, showing a gradual decrease in activity.
