Abstract

form in [Zn(L)(ampy)Cl] (1) and its imine-hydrolyzed form in [Zn(dial)(bpy)Cl] (2). Complex 3 shows weak antiferromagnetic intermolecular interactions below 100 K. Electrochemical studies demonstrated the efficacy of complex 3 towards the OER. Complex 1 exhibited reasonable antibacterial, antibiofilm and antivirulence activity, demonstrating its potential as a therapeutic alternative, in sharp contrast to complex 3.
