Exploration of the role of carboxylate bridges on the magnetisation dynamics of {LnIII2} (Ln = Tb, Dy, Ho, and Er) paddle-wheel single-molecule magnets: structure–property correlations
Abstract
Our studies on four {Ln 2 } paddle-wheel complexes highlight that the µ-carboxylate bridges provide several exchange paths to get the desired ferromagnetic coupling between the Ln( iii ) ions, which in turn favours the SMM behaviour for the Dy analog.
