Breaking the kinetic pH effect in the hydrogen evolution reaction via strain-induced interfacial water reorganization
Abstract
Grain boundary induced tensile strain tunes catalyst oxophilicity, thereby reorganizing interfacial water and accelerating proton and water transfer to break the kinetic pH effect in HER.
