Computational fluid dynamics applications for wastewater treatment bioreactor: emerging role of the lattice Boltzmann method
Abstract
Conventional CFD predicts reactor-scale hydrodynamics in wastewater bioreactors but struggles with micro-scale phenomena. A hybrid multi-scale framework coupled with LBM offers a promising path for next-generation bioreactor design.
