Highly stable photothermal CO 2 conversion to C 2 H 6 with 87% selectivity: cooperative charge redistribution in a heteronuclear catalyst stabilizes the reaction intermediates and enhances C–C coupling
Abstract
Heteronuclear Cu–Au sites on carbon nitride enable photothermal CO 2 conversion to ethane with 87% selectivity and long-term stability. Interfacial electronic asymmetry prolongs carrier lifetimes, stabilizes key intermediates, and lowers C–C coupling.
